What is DNA?
DNA is a three-week series of classes, which will cover a variety of topics; helping you discover the genetic make-up of Dominion Church and what our church family has to offer.
Who is DNA for?
This class is for those who are new to Dominion Church and are interested in becoming members. But of course, DNA is open for anyone to attend! Membership is not a requirement for the class, but the class is a requirement for membership.
When are classes held?
Our next class has not been scheduled as of today. Look for this to take place sometime in the fall. Classes are held from 6-8pm on Sunday nights. Childcare is provided for children up to 12 years of age.
What kinds of things do you cover at the DNA class?
First, we place a very strong emphasis on getting to know you and building relationships with others in the class. So the class is very fun and interactive. It's also a time for you to get to know our staff and leadership on a more personal level. We'll discuss our church's purpose, mission, and core values. We'll also spend considerable time looking at 5 factors that determine how God has uniquely shaped you to serve: Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and Experiences. Once a Christian has discovered their SHAPE, it is time to get plugged in and begin serving!
Who teaches the DNA class?
The class is taught by Pastor Greg, Pastor Clint, and several other very gifted teachers on our leadership team. We prefer a team teaching approach, rather than just having one person lead the class.
Why have DNA classes?
There are several reasons for DNA:
1. So that you can learn more about our church's mission & values.
2. So that you can connect with others in the church.
3. So that you can be equipped to grow in your relationship with God.
4. So that you can find a place to serve in the church.
How do I sign up to take a DNA class?
You can sign up online or contact us at the church office.
