Greg & Deena Thurstonson, Senior Pastors
Greg and Deena Thurstonson pioneered Dominion Church in the Spring of 1996 with a core group of 30 people. Today the church runs over 350 in attendance each week and is continuing to grow. After years of meeting in hotels and shopping centers in and around the Clear Lake area, the church purchased its first property in August of 2005 located in League City, TX. Pastors Greg & Deena have over twenty years of ministerial experience. Greg graduated from Southwestern Assembies of God University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian Education. In addition to being a full-time pastor, Greg is a board-certified Faith-Based Counselor. He travels extensively as a speaker at various conferences, camps, revivals and retreats. Deena is a gifted worship leader and has been sought-out to lead worship at camps and conventions. They have been married over twenty years and have two beautiful daughters, Taylor and Morgan.

Rev. Paul & Elizabeth Melinder, Family & Children's Pastors
Paul and Elizabeth Melinder are excited to join the staff of Dominion Church as our new Family and Children's Pastors. Their vision includes strengthening and equipping families to live the abundant life that God has for both parents and children. They have served in full time ministry for 10 years, 7 of which were as Children’s Pastors.They established a dynamic children’s ministry including puppets, multi-mediacutting edge worship, drama and illusions.  Paul has impacted children and adults while speaking at conferences, camps, church events and school assemblies.  Elizabeth was an early childhood administrator for nine years and currently works at Gilmore Elementary.  They have been married over 20 years and enjoy snow skiing, amusement parks, and traveling with their three awesome children. Lacey is a sophomore at Baylor University, majoring in Elementary Education. She loves performing in musicals, cooking and mentoring children. Jorey is a junior at Clear Brook High School and loves the computer and enjoys playing video games. Emily is a 3rd grader at Gilmore and she loves to paint and spending time with her friends.

Rev. Clint & Casey deGroot, Youth Pastors

Clint & Casey have served Dominion as Youth Pastors since January of 2002. Clint earned his BBA in Finance from University of Houston where he also played football. He worked as an accountant for ExxonMobil before coming on full-time at the church in June of 2005. Casey has her Master's degree in Psychology (school counseling) from the University of Houston and is a gifted singer and worship leader who enjoys working with the girls in the youth ministry. They have a true passion to see students' lives touched and changed by God. They also have a true passion for hanging out, watching movies, eating lots of food and playing with their son Peyton, who is 3 yr old and a their little girl Macey Lynae, who is 1 yr old.

Rev. Bill & Diane Glidden, Staff Pastors

Bill & Diane joined Dominion Church in 2001. Prior to coming to Dominion, Bill served as both an Associate Pastor and a Youth Pastor. He earned a Bachelors degree in Marine Science from Texas A&M University and has been employed with Dow Chemical for over 30 years. In 2000, Bill was licensed with the Assemblies of God as a minister. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and being outdoors. Diane is a bookkeeper for a firm in Clear Lake. She works as a volunteer in the media department and heads up the tape ministry. They serve the church by regularly praying for the sick, making visits to people in the hospital, and doing whatever needs to be done. They have 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren who they enjoy spending time with.

Rev. Tamara Sword, Staff Pastor
Tamara joined the Dominion Church staff in 2000. She currently serves as the Leader's Edge Director. Prior to coming to Dominion she served as Business Administrator, Youth Pastor and Drama Consultant. She has earned her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Houston and a MBA in management from Texas Women's University. Currently, she works as a Revenue Analyst for MD Anderson Cancer Center. She helps coordinate many of the projects, activities and special events for Dominion Church as well as leading the deaf ministry and the drama ministry.

 

Wadine Chamberlain, Director of Music & Fine Arts
Wadine has been a part of the staff of Dominion Church since the day it began. Wadine was born in Beaumont, TX and began piano lessons in the second grade. In her teen years, she played piano and sang on religious TV and radio programs, as well as in church. Wadine graduated from Lamar University with a performance certificate in piano and a Bachelor of Science degree in music. She has directed an evangelistic singing group,which traveled around the country, and has been the music director in 3 other churches prior to Dominion. For over 25 years, Wadine has found joy in working with teenagers in the Fine Arts Program as a teacher and a judge. She treasures working with her daughter, Pastor Deena Thurstonson , as the praise and worship leader and also is the VERY proud grandmother of Morgan and Taylor Thurstonson.

Pam Reynolds, Office Manager

Pam has been a part of Dominion Church since they opened their doors in 1996.  During that time, she has served in various areas of ministry including Children’s Church, Missionettes, and as a member of the Church Advisory Council.  In the spring of 2009, God opened the door that allowed Pam to come on staff full-time at Dominion.  This was a dream come true.  Pam is married to the love of her life, Jay, and they have 2 children-Chasity and Timothy.

Kacey Foley, Secretary/Connect Director
If you call the church office, you're likely to hear Kacey Foley's voice first! Kacey serves as Dominion Church’s secretary and Connect Director, and has a heartfelt passion for serving God, Dominion Church, and the community.  She graduated from Evangel University with a Bachelor's degree in Intercultural Studies and Spanish, and is pursuing her calling to medical missions. Kacey has attended Dominion Church since Summer 2007.
