Dominion's Music Ministry is the combined Praise and Worship, Fine Arts Program and Kids in Ministry Program. From the Praise and Worship Team that leads the adult worship services to the holiday productions put on during the Christmas Season - this ministry is purposed and dedicated to allowing the Holy Spirit to move and minister through the act of worship. It is our desire to mentor all musicians and singers that want to be involved in the church, especially the younger generation of students attending our church.

Our Worship Leader, Deena Thurstonson, leads the praise and worship for our Sunday service. Her mother, Wadine Chaimberlain is the Director of Music and Fine Arts for the church. They both have the heart to see people experience the Lord's presence through the worship at Dominion Church. The Praise and Worship Team is a 20 member team which consists of talented and dedicated musicians and vocalists that help usher in the presence of the Lord.

A Fine Arts Program is also offered for students, grades 6th - 12th. This helps our youth discover and sharpen the gift and talents God has given them. A district competition is held each April, where students compete against 300 churches in the South Texas District, and the finalists are invited to a national competition to compete against all churches in the Assemblies of God Fellowship. Kids In Ministry Program is offered to children, grades 1st - 5th . This particular ministry is a stepping stone for our children into the fine arts program. We believe that you are never too young to start developing your gifts and talents. For more information on this program, contact our church offices.

The drama ministry is a key support area for Dominion Church . We use skits, sketches and human videos to assist in sermons, announcements and other special events. Costumes and props are available to assist other ministry departments as well.

media

The purpose of the media department is to serve as a ministry of helps to the other ministry units of Dominion Church under the direction of the pastors. Our Goal as a ministry is to facilitate the message in a spirit of excellence with all forms of presentation including audio, visuals, lighting, and video mediums for regularly scheduled and auxiliary services, including the capturing of the service by audio and video for those not physically present The media ministry at Dominion gets to play with the cool technology and audio/video equipment during services and special functions.

We are an extension of the worship team on Sunday and Wednesday services. If they can't be heard correctly, or the video presentations do not play as expected, it can detract from what God is doing in people's hearts… so we take what we do very seriously.
