3. What are the spam and report folders?
The spam folder contains e-mail which the server believes is spam.  The server learns from reported spam and other incoming messages and tries to mark those it thinks are spam.

The report folder is where you place messages that you receive that you want to report as spam.

4. How do I report spam?
Move mail that is spam into the "report_spam" folder.  Every night the server will automatically analyze your report folder and empty it.  Do not report e-mail from people you know or subscriptions that you signed up for.

5. A message got marked as spam that really isn't, what should I do?
Move that mail from the "spam" folder to your inbox folder.  Leave it there overnight.  Every night the server checks your inbox for messages like this.  Afterwards, delete or save the e-mail as you wish.

6. What do I do with e-mail in the spam folder?
Look this folder over every day or so to make sure messages were marked correctly.  If everything is ok you can delete these messages.  If a message was not marked correctly follow the directions here.

7. How do I check my e-mail on my computer?
You can check your e-mail using any e-mail client such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, etc.  It is recommended that you use Thunderbird to check your e-mail because it is more secure than Microsoft products.  You can obtain Thunderbird for free at: http://www.mozilla.com/thunderbird

When setting up your e-mail account you will need the following information:
Server type: IMAP
Incoming server:  www.interstellar-tech.com
Outgoing server:  www.interstellar-tech.com

8. How much mail can I store and what are the clean up policies?
Right now there are no limits how much mail you can store or send.  However, it is recommended to keep you mailbox fairly clean because large mailboxes have a greater chance of file corruption.

Please note there are some automatic clean up policies in place.  The following folders are cleaned up automatically in the schedule indicated.  If you want to save a message please move it to another folder.
